Tigers boss Steve Bruce has been named Championship Manager of the Month for December.
He engineered five wins and a draw in a month that saw Hull City climb into the automatic promotion places.
Bruce beat off competition from Mick McCarthy, who guided lowly Ipswich to 13 points from 18, and Malky Mackay, of league leaders Cardiff.
Alan Curbishley, who was on the judging panel for the award, said: "Steve Bruce masterminded an unbeaten run in December through some potentially very difficult fixtures and in doing so, took Hull City into an automatic promotion place." Form guide - December's points tally
