PASSERSBY have apprehended a man who punched another man in the face in Hull city centre this afternoon, say police.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: "We were called at 2.26pm today to reports of an alleged assault on Ferensway.
"A man, believed to be in his 20s, was assaulted by another man. The offender was detained by members of the public. He was arrested by officers at the scene at 2.36pm.
"The victim has sustained a facial injury and is currently receiving treatment. An ambulance has been sent to the scene."
