Conservatives in Hull have chosen their three candidates to stand in next year's General Election.
East Riding Councillor Mike Whitehead, who represents Willerby and Kirk Ella, will stand against sitting Labour MP Alan Johnson in Hull West and Hessle.
Dehenna Davison, president of the University of Hull Union Conservatives and a part-time parliamentary researcher, has been selected to stand in Hull North, where Labour's Diana Johnson is the current MP.
Emma Ideson, who runs a Hessle-based PR firm, has been picked to take on Labour's Karl Turner in Hull East.
Andrew Forster, the Hull North constituency chairman, said: "This is a strong team. The local associations have been through a long and full process to select and have been delighted at the interest shown in Hull.
"We will be campaigning on a range of issues and celebrating the huge support this Government has given Hull."
