Hull KR coach Chris Chester admits he hopes to sign up to four more new players for next season, after completing the signing of Italian winger Josh Mantellato on a three-year deal.
Chester, who remains in pole position to be Rovers coach next year, is keen to freshen up the squad after a season of struggles that sees them battling for the eighth play-off spot.
Mantellato is the third confirmed signing after centre Darrell Goulding and centre Ken Sio, and Chester is keen to add young hungry British players to the Rovers squad for 2015.
"I'd like to bring in three or four more players for next season," Chester told the Mail.
"They will be from England and they are all at Super League clubs.
"I've had to make some tough decisions lately with players moving on, including some that are contracted. There may be some announcements in the coming days.
"The players we want to bring in are young and determined to be here for the right reasons."
Mantellato has signed a three year deal after playing a key role for Italy in last year's World Cup. The winger has only made two NRL appearances for the Knights but he is one of the leading players in the New South Wales Cup.
Chester is excited about seeing Mantellato in a Rovers shirt next season.
"Josh will bring speed and he is a proven try scorer," Chester said.
"He's a great goalkicker too. He's young too and he brings competition to the outside backs places.
"We'll be losing some outside backs next season. The ones we have brought in are all young and hungry.
The addition of the three outside backs could spell the end for some of Rovers current backs.
On loan winger Ade Gardner looks set to return to Saints, where he is contracted for another season.
