Trains between Bridlington and Scarborough have been forced to cancel following a lightning strike.
National Rail Enquiries are currently trying to organise replacement buses after the lightning struck a cable in Hunmanby, causing signalling problems.
The buses will run between Bridlington and Scarborough but officals are unable to say when they will become available at this stage.
Commuters are warned the disruption is likely to last until at least 5.30pm and are urging them to check journeys before setting off.
Updates are available on Twitter and can be followed by using the hashtag #Hunmanby.Updated 3.30pm
