HDM Sport on Facebook AHEAD of the Tigers' trip to Oakwell tomorrow, it is transfers which are again top of the national media agenda. And according to today's Daily Mirror, the chase for Harry Maguire is heating up. They even reckon a deal to sign the centre-back will be completed today for a fee of £2m. However, we understand that is a little wide of the mark as negotiations are still ongoing and not as advanced as reported. Sheffield United are playing Dundee in a friendly tonight and the 21-year-old is expected to feature as normal, meaning no transfer looks on the cards. According to team-mate Andy Butler, Maguire remains fully committed to the Blades despite the continued uncertainty surrounding his future at Bramall Lane. Butler, who joined United from Walsall earlier this summer, described his fellow centre-half's attitude as exemplary ahead of the meeting. "Harry has been absolutely brilliant," Butler told The Star in Sheffield today. "Obviously, as everybody knows, there has been a lot of talk and speculation but it's not affecting him one bit. "If it is then it certainly doesn't show which speaks volumes about him anyway. He's trained really well and has been brilliant to work with." Maguire has been an ever present during United's first two warm-up fixtures with manager Nigel Clough insisting that City have not been in contact since tabling a package, initially worth £1.75m, nearly a fortnight ago. "If anything else has come in then I'm not aware of it," Clough said. "There's nothing new to report and he remains in our plans."£3m Robertson deal edging closer The deal for Andrew Robertson looks far more likely to be completed soon, with the national Daily Mail saying a £3m fee has been struck for the left-back. Reports coming out from north of the border this morning also indicate the same, with the 20-year-old expected to host talks with the Tigers over the weekend. If terms can be agreed, a medical would take place on Monday at the earliest. Whilst that would rule him out of Europa League action against Trencin next week, he could be added to their European squad if they win and advance into the group stages.Stats, stats and more stats Fans always love stats and those guys at whoscored.com have come up with a good one. According to their research, only Martin Skrtel (235) made more headed clearances in the Premier League last season than Tigers skipper Curtis Davies (206). Perhaps City will use their head (sorry!) and offer him a new extended deal quick sharpish. If stats are your thing, today will see the Tigers feature heavily on @premierleague via Twitter as they plan to post a series of facts and figures about Hull City's time in the top flight. Give them a follow if you want to get involved.
