Police have released a new CCTV image of John Heald, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Bei Carter in Bridlington.
The image shows Heald in B&M Bargains in Mexborough at 4.15pm last Saturday – the day after Mrs Carter was killed.
The 49-year-old landlady was stabbed once in the chest at the Morayland Hotel in Marshall Avenue, which she ran with husband Terry.
Heald, who is 53 and from the Rotherham area, is wanted by Humberside Police in connection with her murder. He is also wanted by South Yorkshire Police in connection with a serious sexual offence in Sheffield on Sunday, July 13.
There have been several potential sightings of John Heald around the Rotherham area.
Police have released the image today in the hope it will encourage members of the public to come forward with information that may lead to his arrest.
Chief Superintendent Jason Harwin, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "We have released this image in the hope that it will jog someone's memory and encourage them to get in touch with police if they have seen this man.
"We are still receiving calls from members of the public and I would like to reiterate my thanks for their continued support.
"It might be that there are people looking after him who don't know what to do.
"I urge anyone who has seen him or has information as to his whereabouts to contact police immediately."
Officers handed out hundreds of flyers to football fans attending a pre-season friendly between Rotherham United and Nottingham Forest at the New York Stadium yesterday. A digital display van featuring his picture was seen by up to 3,600 fans at the stadium.
Mr Heald is 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build, with blue eyes and short mousey brown hair. His right ear is pierced and he has tattoos on his hands and arms.
He has dots tattooed on the knuckles of both hands, as well as a horse on his left hand and a mermaid and an eagle on his right arm.
A reward of up to £5,000 has been offered by the charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest of John Heald.
Anybody who sees him should call 999 immediately or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
