HULL Stingrays have been forced to book two days pre-season training at Widnes due to work at Hull Arena.
The Hull rink is currently shut while the refrigeration plant is upgraded and is not due to re-open until September.
It means the Rapid Solicitors Stingrays will start their pre-season training out of town and will then travel to face Peterborough in a friendly on August 30.
Providing the Hull Arena work goes to plan, the Stingrays hope to host the return leg against their EPL opponents before the start of their Elite League season proper on September 6.
The arrangement is part of the link-up with Phantoms -where former Hull forward Slava Koulikov is player-coach - which saw young teenage defenceman Scott Robson join them on a two-way deal.
