HULL City look set to revive their bid for Tottenham defender Danny Rose– with Spurs looking in a position to sell. The Mirror say Steve Bruce could rescue the former England under-21 international from White Hart Lane with the promise of first-team football.
Rose, 24, has racked-up just 57 appearances for Spurs since joining from Leeds for £1m seven years ago.
And the Doncaster-born defender knows he faces being out in the cold again next season if he stays with the North London side.
Rose has two years remaining on his contract at Spurs, but a Mirror source revealed: "His future there is looking bleak. At best, he's going to be a bit-part player, and that's not what Danny wants at this stage of his career. He needs to be with a club who can give him regular first-team football.
"Danny's progress has been affected by loan moves and a number of niggling injuries, and now Pochettino has come in and highlighted the left-back position as one that needs to be urgently addressed.
"A move back to his native Yorkshire could be just the job for Danny - and it would be a perfect fit for Hull. If Steve Bruce wants to play a flat back-four, Danny can perform as an orthodox left-back. If he wants to utilise a 3-5-2 system, then Danny is equally comfortable as a wing-back."
Much of the Rose deal relies on whether Spurs can secure the signature of Swansea left-back Ben Davies, who is set to cost Mauricio Pochettino£8m.
But The Sun have priced Rose at £6m, with Tottenham seemingly willing to lose out on £2m.
Bruce is still said to be attempting to sign Sheffield United's Harry Maguire, Dundee United's Andy Robertson and Rose's Spurs team-mate Michael Dawson.Proschwitz finally on his way out?NICK Proschwitz could finally be on his way out of the KC Stadium after yesterday been linked with a move to Championship side Wolves.
The German striker has struggled to make an impact at Hull City since joining for £2.6m back in 2012.The Sun on Sunday said Wolves boss Kenny Jackett was interested in taking Proschwitz off of Steve Bruce's hands for nothing.
