A 79-year-old cyclist has suffered serious head injuries after being involved in a crash near Brandesburton earlier today.
The man, who was riding a brown bike, was involved in the crash with a red Jaguar XF on the A165 at Brandesburton roundabout just after 10am.
The man has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, an 81-year-old East Yorkshire man, was not injured.
The crash closed the A165 at the junction with New Road for a number of hours.
The road is now reopen.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
