Our daily blog with the latest news, transfer rumours and gossip about Hull City in the Premier League.Jack the lad in demand JACK Rodwell's career has stalled badly since his big-money move from Everton to Manchester City two years ago but could Hull City be ready to offer him a fresh start at the KC Stadium?Sky Sports are suggesting the Tigers hold an interest in the 23-year-old this morning but the competition for the midfielder's signature promises to be stiff. The report hedges its bets somewhat by claiming TEN Premier League clubs have all made enquiries for Rodwell this summer. Newcastle, Sunderland, Stoke, Southampton, West Ham, Tottenham, Swansea, West Brom and former club Everton are said to be in the same boat as City, not to mention unnamed clubs in Spain and Italy. It is unclear quite where Rodwell would fit into Steve Bruce's plans having already spent £8m on Jake Livermore this summer and £5.25m on Tom Huddlestone 12 months ago, but the report touts the possibility of both a permanent swoop and a loan move. Form an orderly queue, gentlemen.City sweet on a Saint? JOSE Fonte is Hull City's transfer boomerang this summer and his name has returned to the spotlight in the Daily Star today. With problems encountered over a £4m deal to sign central defender Michael Dawson from Tottenham, as reported in today's Mail, there is speculation that Fonte could become the next taxi off the rank. The Portuguese defender was linked with the Tigers last month and the fact his name continues to crop up could mean there is a lingering interest. Fonte was previously linked with a £3m move but national reports have also suggested that he will be offered a new deal at St Mary's. As clear as mud.Jakupovic loving bright future at the KC Eldin Jakupovic has travelled to Hull City's warm-weather training camp armed with a new two-year deal – and the goalkeeper couldn't be happier. Jakupovic has spoken with City's official website following the confirmation of a new contract that runs to 2016 and outlined his ambitions to push Allan McGregor all the way for the number one spot. The 29-year-old made his Premier League debut in the 3-1 loss to Manchester United in the final weeks of last season on the back of a successful loan spell with League One Leyton Orient. Patience will be necessary in the new campaign but Jakupovic said: "I spoke with the manager before the cup final and he told me he would like me to stay. I am thankful for the opportunity and I will continue to give my best. "I know Allan McGregor is the number one here, but myself and Steve Harper want to fight for a place. We are all good friends and we keep pushing each other on. "It's a case of waiting for my chance and when it comes I must try to take it."
