WILL the Nicklas Bendtner rumour ever die down? Once again, the national press have linked the former Arsenal striker with a move to Hull City after his contract at the Gunners expired, with the Daily Star the main culprit this time around. Sources close to the striker say he will make a decision on where his future lies at the end of the week. Rumours began circulating in June last year about a possible transfer to the Tigers, but this is one we cannot see happening in the slightest, no matter how many times the papers say it. The Dane made 171 appearances and scored 47 goals during his time at the Gunners, but was released following a controversial final season in North London. He travelled back to his native country and had a few drinks too many, resulting in a rather embarrassing encounter with a taxi, leaving manager Arsene Wenger furious. Despite this, the striker has fielded a number of offers from clubs in England, Germany and Spain. The Tigers and Newcastle are among the British clubs tipped to sign Bendtner, and sources close to the striker say he'll make a decision before the end of this week. The Daily Mail are also reporting that Aston Villa have made Bendtner an offer, despite their philosophy of bringing players in on a shoestring budget.Eintracht Frankfurt are another team interested if Bendtner fancies a shot at the Bundesliga. With strikers including Shane Long, Nikica Jelavic and Yannick Sagbo already at the club, Bendtner's chances of ever joining the Tigers appears to be very slim indeed.Jakupovic signs new deal at Tigers MEANWHILE, one player who has committed his future to the Tigers is goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic. As expected, the Bosnian stopper has signed a new two-year deal with the club and is determined to fight for his spot as City's number one. The 29-year-old, who had a successful loan spell with Leyton Orient last season, has made ten first-team appearances since first arriving at the KC Stadium in 2012 and made his Premier League debut against Manchester United in May. Jakupovic became a firm fans' favourite whilst at the O's, who were sad to see him leave. With Allan McGregor and Steve Harper ahead of him in the pecking order in goal, Jakupovic will have his work cut out to make the squad regularly but will remain patient to seize his opportunity.Bowen: Tigers stood out for me NEW Hull City signing Jarrod Bowen says the Tigers stood out for him after his transfer from Hereford United. The crisis club missed out on a potential fee for the youngster after Bowen wasn't paid in full, thus breaching his contract and allowing him to move on for nothing. The 17-year-old striker made his first-team breakthrough for Hereford at the end of last season, scoring in the penultimate game against Alfreton. And he has caught the eye sufficiently to earn a three-year deal at the KC Stadium, firstly as an Academy scholar before two further years as a young professional. "West Brom came to talk to me and I went up to Wolves too, but Hull stood out for me," Bowen told BBC Hereford & Worcester. "They're a Premier League club on the up. It's a massive opportunity for me and I've just got to go up there and try to take my chance."
