Firefighters attended two schools today after they were hit by flooding.
Both Cottingham High and Ainthorpe Primary schools were victims to the flash floods which hit parts of East Yorkshire this afternoon.
Cottingham High School will be closed tomorrow.
The worst affected areas include Cottingham and the west of Hull villages, along with parts of west Hull.
There has been standing water in the main streets of Cottingham, including Hallgate, Park Lane, King Street and New Village Way.
Firefighters attended Hallgate in Cottingham to help pump the water away. Four properties in Badger's Wood were also affected.

Humberside Police is urging motorists to take care in affected areas to avoid aquaplaning but there are no reports of road closures.
There were also reports water has entered the gardens of some properties in Cottingham, around New Village Road.
A weather warning remains in place for Hull and East Riding until 7pm although the rain is now moving west and should be dying away.
The Met Office warned of potential flash and surface flooding as torrential rain and hail pours down in the area.
The warning is the least serious level at "be aware".
A spokesman said: "There are quite a lot of showers around the East Yorkshire area and those are heavy.
"They are pretty small but quite intense so, depending on how quickly they are moving, they should be out of the way soon and not here all day.
"There is a chance of fairly rapid rainfall and it could be you see quite a lot of rain in a short period of time and that means a risk of localised surface flooding or flash flooding on the roads."
The showers should ease away overnight.
Tomorrow will stay mainly dry, with a few showers up and down the coast during the night and into the early hours of the morning.
The Met Office spokesman said: "This is classic thunder storm weather, which is exactly what we would expect for this time of year."
Water also came up through the drains in the village, as well as in parts of Willerby.
Standing water on Hessle Road, close to Askew Avenue, along with Great Gutter Lane and Castle Street in the city centre, has caused traffic problems.
A spokesman for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: "We had 40 calls today from around Cottingham about the flooding.
"It was a case of flash flooding with very heavy rain coming down in a very short space of time.
"It has mainly been surface water flooding.
"There were two homes in King Street affected and we were also called out to water getting in at the library at Cottingham High School.
"There was also some flooding at Ainthorpe Primary but there was no need to evacuate either school."
