Cottingham Day once again proved a huge success as thousands flocked from far and wide to the village.
Live music, birds of prey demonstrations, classic motor cars and dozens of stalls wowed the crowds under glorious sunshine.
The annual summer celebration of village life attracted more than 15,000 visitors last year and early indications suggest a similar figure this year.
Cottingham resident Chris Jackson said: "It is a really good event and I come each year.
"It is good fun and it is nice to celebrate our village."
The event was founded almost a decade ago and has gone from strength to strength.
Organiser Ann Abel said: "It has proved to be another very successful event and we are delighted.
"It was a bit of a slow start because of the overnight rain but after that thousands of people came along and the village centre was buzzing.
"This was the first year with the alcohol ban in place and it worked extremely well.
"The feedback was great and I want to thank everyone for coming to make it such a special day."
Mia Robinson, 9, said: "I really enjoyed watching the birds of prey. We spent hours at the show and I want to come back again next year."
Organisers will begin planning for next year's show in November. The event will take place on July 4, 2015.
