IT'S the trip that will mean everything for the parents of two little boys who have a deadly heart condition.
Brothers Harley and Joey Watts, of Beverley, were born with supravalvar aortic stenosis and pulmonary branch stenosis – a rare narrowing of heart valves caused by a missing chromosome.
The boys' parents, Leanne and Martin Watts, have been told by doctors they could lose either child at any moment and without warning.
However, they are determined to ensure Harley, two, and 16-month-old Joey, have fun to the end.
On Thursday, the family will leave for five days of magic at Disneyland Paris, paid for using cash raised by well-wishers who have arranged fun days, collections and darts competitions.
Leanne, 35, said: "This trip will mean everything to our family.
"It will be a chance for us all to create some wonderful, special, happy memories with Harley and Joey."
Doctors told Leanne and Martin in April that the condition is "very aggressive" in both boys, but were unable to say exactly how long either has left to live.
An article that appeared in the Mail triggered a fantastic response from the community, adding to events already planned by the family's supporters.
Leanne said: "We really can't thank people enough for what they have done for us. No word is big enough."
Three of her other children – Tommy, three, Jack, five, and Kierra, 15 – will be joining them on the trip.
Her eldest, Jordan, 17, is unfortunately unable to go with them due to work commitments.
"We're not telling Harley and Joey about the trip until Thursday," said Leanne.
"We want it to be a lovely surprise for them.
"We plan to tell them when we get to King George Dock, before we board the P&O ferry."
Leanne joked she also has another motive for keeping the trip a surprise.
"My ears wouldn't get a rest if I told them now," she said."
Leanne said Martin's employer, Hague Construction, have given the family spending money.
"Martin's boss, Mick, has been fantastic," said Leanne. "He has told us, whatever the children want, they get on this trip.
"It is about having fun. He didn't want us worrying about spending money."
Holidaymakers from East Yorkshire have had their plans disrupted by delays that have hit the Passport Office.
But Leanne, who applied for new passports for her family three weeks ago, had help from Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart.
"He has been great," said Leanne. "I was a bit concerned we would not get them in time, so I rang Mr Stuart's office a few days ago.
"I told him I knew it was a long shot, but could he do anything to help.
"I had a phone call back to say, don't worry – they will be with you. The passports have just arrived."
