Ferriby rewrote the record books with a 2-1 victory at Edgeley Park in their first ever meeting with County last season.
And with over 2,500 season tickets sold already, Hare knows Stockport will have a big crowd cheering them on this season as they look to climb up the leagues after a decade of relegations.
"I'm pretty confident we can come away from Edgeley Park with something," Hare told the Mail.
"Last season when we went there, we were maybe starstruck because it was Stockport County and their ground is one of the best in this league, but we went there and got a deserved win.
"We certainly won't be starstruck on the first day of the season.
"It will be a great atmosphere as they have sold over 2,500 season tickets."
The return fixture with Stockport is one of three home games over Christmas that would be a dream scenario for Hare and Ferriby.
However, instead of seeing them as money-making matches, Hare is disappointed to see them clash with three Hull City matches, which will undoubtedly reduce the gate.
Hare hopes City's games will be moved for television purposes, which will help boost Ferriby's coffers with more fans through the turnstiles.
"I was horrified when I saw the Christmas fixtures," Hare said.
"All three home games clash with Hull City. We made a request to the league and this is what they've handed us.
"It's still early and hopefully Hull City's games will get moved.
"We can't expect to re-arrange games with teams from far away unless they were gaining something from it themselves.
"We wouldn't agree to a fixture change if we weren't benefiting from it, so we don't expect others to.
"Playing five games over Christmas at this level seems a bit bizarre, but I guess it's the same for all teams."
Ferriby's nemesis last season were Guiseley, who beat them four times in four meetings including the two play-off games – but Hare is in no doubt his side will end that run against the West Yorkshire side this season.
"I'm very confident we will do much better against Guiseley this season," he said.
"They will be strong again, but we feel we are much stronger too.
"We deserved to take something when we played them at their place last season before we put in our worst performance of the season at home to them.
"This season will be a different story."
