An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.Michael Hooper, 28, of Wingfield Road, east Hull, was ordered to complete a six-month drug rehabilitation course, a 12-month supervision order and 60 hours of unpaid work for being involved in the theft of a BMW car. He must also pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.Stuart Conway, 42, of Hull Road, Anlaby Common, was given seven points on his licence for failing to stop after an accident. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.Carl Wilkinson, 39, of Rothesay Close, east Hull, was jailed for ten weeks for stealing four DVDs from WH Smith in the Prospect Centre, Hull. He was also handed a six-week concurrent sentence for stealing a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey, worth £20.Kirsty Acaster, 23, of Grange Road, Goole, was ordered to continue with her existing community order for failing to attend appointments required by the original order. She was also ordered to pay £50 costs.Julie Rookes, 48, of Riverside, Rawcliffe, has been banned from driving for 24 months for driving while under the influence of alcohol. She must also carry out 40 hours of unpaid work and pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.Darren Robinson, 29, of Great Meadow Road, Bridlington, was given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and a curfew for failing to comply with a community order. He was also fined £50.Sharon Hilton, 34, of Cookbury Close, east Hull, was given a six-month conditional discharge for having heroin in her body and failing to attend a drug dependency assessment. She was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
