A woman had her handbag snatched as she walked along a cycle path in west Hull.
The 42-year-old woman was walking on the track between Duesbery Street, off Princes Avenue, and Park Road when she was approached by a man on a bike.
He grabbed her bag and, after a struggle, cycled off with it towards Beverley Road.
The man is described as tanned, between 20 and 30, with fair, untidy hair. He was wearing a light blue T-shirt, jeans and blue Adidas shoes.
He was said to be sweating profusely and riding an old mountain bike.
The woman's bag was later found but her purse was missing.
Anyone with information about the theft, between 2pm and 2.25pm on Wednesday, is asked to call Humberside Police on 101.
