Hull City are closing in on a deal to sign Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass in a transfer that could equal a club record fee.
Just a day after recruiting Jake Livermore from Tottenham in a move that could be worth up to £8m, the Tigers have agreed a similar figure with Norwich over long-standing target Snodgrass.
City had initially tabled an offer of £6m for the Scotland international but negotiations have since seen the bid upped.
Although the Canaries were asking for £10m for their Player of the Season, it is understood a fee in the region of £7m, rising to £8m based on appearances, has provisionally been agreed.
Personal talks are now underway with Snodgrass and providing he is able to pass a medical a concluded deal could come in the next 48 hours.
City have already spent a club record fee on Livermore this week and their outlay could soon rise to £20m if Tottenham's Michael Dawson can also be landed.
