ANLABY: Police have been using sniffer dogs in the village after complaints about drug use.
Officers said there has been a "marked increase" in antisocial behaviour in Rockley Court and Dawson's Walk, including smoking cannabis.
A spokesman for the Tranby neighbourhood policing team said the problem has improved since the extra patrols began.
He said: "We have increased police patrols, confiscated alcohol, and made contact with the families of young people who we found acting in an antisocial manner.
"Initial warning letters have been sent to those whose behaviour is not acceptable, and we have made it clear that we will deal with and further antisocial behaviour in a robust way.
"We have dealt with a small number of drug offences and have patrolled with the area with the support of drug sniffer dogs.
"We have observed an improvement in the behaviour of young people in this area and calls for service are well down. We do still receive occasional calls, so will continue with this priority until the problem is completely resolved."
