Jamie Shaul: Extended his position as Hull's top try scorer but his score aside, it wasn't the best game for the full-back with too many errors. 6 Tom Lineham: Made a welcome return after being out since round four. Targeted under the high ball, he coped well and carried the ball strongly in a solid return. 7 Ben Crooks: Hull didn't shift the ball to the right in the early stages but when they did Crooks and Lineham looked lively. A good display before limping off with a groin injury which has plagued him in recent weeks. 7 Kirk Yeaman: Scored his first Super League try since starting the season with a score against the Dragons. Grew in presence as the game progressed. 7 Fetuli Talanoa: Great break for Yeaman's try, the winger evaded three tackles before finding the pass to put his centre partner over. 7 Jordan Rankin: Was caught in possession too many times as Hull's attack broke down without the necessary direction. A good runner of the ball, he was lively in that regard. 7 Richard Horne: Having turned the clock back last week with a great display, it was a game of frustration for Horne who kicked poorly to allow Catalan to score their first try and was erratic in his distribution. 6 Mickey Paea: Produced a big first spell that helped Hull make a positive start before the Dragons struck. Ran the ball well in tough conditions. 7 Aaron Heremaia: Stepped up to the starting hooking role but running from dummy half not as natural to him as Danny Houghton and it was that direct approach that was needed. 6 Josh Bowden: Stamped his authority early with a series of huge hits on Zeb Taia and Jeff Lima. Didn't get bullied in a confident display. 7 Gareth Ellis: Not as effective as he has been of late, the captain came up with a number of uncharacteristic errors, but did score a good try and worked tirelessly. 7 Chris Tuson: Out on Hull's right side there wasn't too much opportunity to impress going forward and he needs to be more involved. 6 Joe Westerman: Hull's Mr Consistent this season was anything but in this game. Lost his cool a little too easily and took some wrong options in attack. 6 Jordan Thompson: Offered some valuable fresh legs off the bench, but missed some tackles, most notably in the lead up to Garcia's try for the French team. 6 Iafeta Paleaaesina: Added impact when he arrived on the pitch. Continually getting over the advantage line the big prop allowed Hull to get on the front foot in the second half. 7 Setaimata Sa: As aggressive a performance as you are likely to see, he thundered into tackles and left his mark on his former team mates in his best display yet. 7 Dean Hadley: Asked to fill in at hooker in the absence of Danny Houghton, it's a role he's occupied before but not one best suited to his talents. Did a solid job, however. 7
