Hull City have agreed an undisclosed fee with Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Jake Livermore.
The club said personal terms were now being discussed with the 24-year-old star, who spent last season on loan at the KC Stadium, with a deal expected to be reached early next week.
"Hull City can confirm that an undisclosed fee has been agreed with Tottenham Hotspur for the permanent transfer of Jake Livermore," City announced this afternoon.
"The club is now in talks with the player's representatives over personal terms and we hope to conclude the deal early next week."
Livermore made 41 appearances and scored three goals from the centre of the Tigers' midfield last season. His partnership with former Spurs teammate Tom Huddlestone was a key factor in City's Premier League survival and FA Cup run, and Steve Bruce had made agreeing a permanent transfer a top priority.
Although the fee is undisclosed, it is believed to be in the region of £6m.
