James Smailes gives his verdict on the Hull FC player performances in the 56-6 win at Widnes Vikings.Jamie Shaul: Scored a good hat-trick and was a threat to Widnes throughout with his support runs and his pace around the ruck. 9Fetuli Talanoa: Carried the ball well from his own half and looks to be developing a good relationship with Ben Crooks on the right hand side. 7Ben Crooks: Looked defensively much more sound and produced a great tackle on Chris Dean in the first half which epitomised that as he ended a Vikings break and won his side the ball back. 7Kirk Yeaman: Came up with some big hits in defence, but couldn't get the sort of ball he wanted in attack. 7Callum Lancaster: The 17-year-old has taken to Super League with impressive ease and followed his double in London with a hat-trick here. All his tries were about pace, which he's clearly got in abundance. 9Richard Horne: The veteran half-back was recalled for the first time since his poor display against Wigan and justified his place with a good display. Offering a calm head, he also capped his performance with a try. 8Jordan Rankin: There were mistakes such as missing touch with his penalty and some stray passes, but he also kicked the ball superbly and showed his great footwork for a solo try. 8Mickey Paea: His first-half spell on the field should have brought more reward in terms of points on the scoreboard. Paea did his bit with a barging run to crash over. 8Danny Houghton: Busy around the ruck, the hooker was quick out of dummy half and it was that pace which allowed the Black and Whites to get on the front foot. 8Liam Watts: Having been dropped for London, he ended up getting his chance through injury and played well. His place for next week is now assured after a commanding display which saw him dominate the Vikings' pack. 8Gareth Ellis: A performance which has now become the norm for the captain, he ran hard and straight while also proving too difficult to get through in defence. 8Chris Tuson: With his side sniffing a try in the first half his error at the ruck brought Widnes' defence thankful relief. He ran some good lines but still not at his best. 7Joe Westerman: Charging down a kick which led to Hull's first try, a pass for the second, Westerman started well and just continued to dominate throughout. 8Jordan Thompson: When he came onto the field the game was in Hull's favour but nothing was won. When he left there was no doubt where the points were heading and a lot was down to his efforts. A massive performance of some note. 9Aaron Heremaia: The hooker had to wait until the second half to get in on the act but there was still time to play his part as he took the ball to the line time and time again and kept Hull driving forward. 7Iafeta Paleaaesina: Produced a number of his trademark bulldozing runs driving at the heart of the Widnes defence to allow his team to get on the front foot. 8Setaimata Sa: A second-half arrival into the game, the new signing again showed glimpses of what he can bring, most noticeably some aggression out wide. He'll be better for another run out. 7
