Saints have agreed terms for Koeman to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at St Mary's after resolving a dispute about his transfer budget. Bruce was said to be the leading English option on a six-man shortlist for the job, but the Tigers boss brushed off the speculation by handing City's owners a list of his transfer targets.
Ashley Williams staying at Swansea Defender Ashley Williams looks unlikely to move to the KC Stadium this summer after his agent revealed he wants to stay at Swansea City. Hull City have been linked with a £4m move for the Welsh international, who has one year left to run on his current deal. But after Sunderland tabled a £4m offer for the centre-back, agent Jamie Moralee said Williams wanted to stay at the Liberty Stadium. "It's up to Swansea to make him an offer because he doesn't want to leave," he told The Chronicle. "There's been a lot of interest in Ash ... this is business, it's not personal. Hopefully we can get the situation put right for all parties." Sunderland are nevertheless likely to return with an improved offer.
Matty Fryatt thanks Hull City fans Departing striker Matty Fryatt has thanked Hull City fans for their hundreds of good wishes. Following the news Fryatt will be joining Nottingham Forest next month, the club was inundated with messages from well-wishers. Fryatt said: "I was quite sad reading through them all if I'm honest. The most surprising thing was the number of them. "I didn't think there'd be so many. I was unbelievably touched as I read through each message. "I'll look back on my time with nothing but fond memories of the fans. I really enjoyed every minute playing in front of them."
Hull City will face competition for Robert Snodgrass The Tigers will face tough competition for Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass, with Aston Villa, QPR and West Ham all keen on the 26-year-old, according to the Daily Mail. As we revealed last month, Steve Bruce is looking to bring in a winger and has been keeping tabs on Snodgrass. A talented attacking threat from out wide, capable of operating on either flank, Snodgrass has an obvious appeal to City, but despite having just a year left on his contract, the Canaries will be hoping to cash in to the tune of £6m, according to the Daily Mail.
