Hull FC gave their play-off aspirations a shot in the arm with an impressively comfortable 56-6 victory at Widnes Vikings.
Hat-tricks for teenager Callum Lancaster and full-back Jamie Shaul put Hull on their way as the Black and Whites ran out comfortable winners at the Select Security Stadium.
Making the most of an early penalty, it was Widnes who took the lead as winger Paddy Flynn brushed off attempted tackles by Lancaster and Jamie Shaul to score in the corner, with Danny Tickle adding the extras.
Lancaster soon had revenge, however, beating Flynn for pace to finish Richard Horne's pass and no sooner had Hull finished celebrating their first try they had another. Having charged down a kick to win possession for Hull's first, Joe Westerman's short pass put Mickey Paea over, with Jordan Rankin converting both.
A Rankin penalty before the break took Hull's lead to eight points. It should have been more but within five minutes of the re-start Hull had another converted try as Lancaster finished Jordan Thompson's break for his second score of the night.
Having needed to show some defensive resolve to hold out the Vikings, Hull then hit their hosts on the break with Jamie Shaul's 10th try of the season taking Hull 20 points clear.
Hull didn't stop there with Rankin racing 60 metres for a try and then Lancaster and Shaul completing their hat-tricks, sandwiched either side of Richard Horne's third try of the season.
