AN elderly man, who sparked a police search after a blood trail was discovered at Beverley Grammar School, has been found.
The 86-year-old man is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers were called after blood and a walking stick were found in the grounds of Beverley Grammar School as pupils began arriving on Wednesday morning.

CCTV showed an elderly man, nursing what appeared to be an injury to his left arm as he walked past the Queensgate school. The man was found at 5am and taken to hospital by ambulance, however, police were not aware of this when they issued the appeal. A police spokesman said: "Humberside Police appealed for information about the whereabouts of a man but, unbeknownst to them, the man had already been found and had been taken to hospital. "Following further enquiries, he was identified as being in hospital." Police are not treating his injuries as suspicious.• Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
