An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.Liam Elsmore, 20, of Kinderscout Close, Bransholme, was fined £110 for harassment by calling a woman to wish her "Merry Christmas" from an unknown number and making another 13 calls to her after being issued with a Police Information Notice. He must pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.Katie Taylor, 28, of Linnaeus Street, west Hull, was fined £35 for using threatening words or behaviour. He must pay £60 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.Elizabeth Farrah-Atkin, 58, of Aysgarth Avenue, north Hull, was discharged conditionally for six months for assault. She must pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.Samantha Hudson, 35, of Lees Walk, west Hull, was discharged conditionally for six months for stealing a gammon joint and cheese, worth £18.25, from Heron Frozen Foods. She must pay a £15 surcharge.Richard Kemp, 39, of Endike Lane, west Hull, was jailed for 20 weeks for stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels, worth £36, from Marks & Spencer; two bottles of Southern Comfort, worth £40, from the same store three days later; and breaching a suspended sentence.Joshua Starkey, 18, of Dock House, Hull, must do 120 hours of unpaid work for stealing a DVD box set, worth £59.99, from WH Smith; breaching a non-molestation order; twice failing to surrender to custody; and stealing £15 of cheese from Sainsbury's on two separate occasions. He must pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.Shaun Hatch, 34, of Coltman Street, west Hull, was fined £55 for twice soliciting money from the station supervisor at Hull Paragon Interchange. He must pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
