FORMER Hull East MP John Prescott is selling one of his famous two Jaguars.
Lord Prescott has put his Jaguar XJS, which was based at his home in London, for sale on Auto Trader for £7,000.
Writing in his column in the Sunday Mirror, he said: "This week China announced that it plans to take six million cars off the road because smog is getting so bad.
"It made me think, why do I still have two cars? I have one Jag in London and another in Hull.
"But I don't really use my XJS in the capital. I can get everywhere on bus and tube – thanks to the pensioner's pass I introduced as Transport Minister.
"So I've decided to do my bit for the environment and follow the Chinese example. I'm selling my Jaguar XJS and downsizing to one car.
"Pauline is delighted. She always found it very difficult to get out of my low slung sports car. And the boot was so small she could only fit two hat boxes in!
"That's why I've put it up for sale on the Auto Trader site.
"So long Two Jags and hello One Jag."
