Our daily blog with the latest news, transfer rumours and gossip about Hull City in the Premier League.
A new month kicks off with yet another name in the frame for the Tigers – this time it's Micah Richards.
According to today's Sunday Mirror, Steve Bruce is eyeing up a club transfer-record smashing £8m move for the Manchester City defender.
Alongside sealing the £7m capture of loanee midfielder Jake Livermore from Spurs, Bruce's priority is to add more defensive quality as his side bid to avoid getting caught up in a relegation dogfight while also making a first foray into Europe.
It's not the first time the out-of-favour has been linked with a move to Hull – The Sun also claimed he was on the Tigers' radar last month.
After City's 3-2 FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal, Richards took to Twitter to praise Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Observers suggested he might be angling for a move to the Gunners – although that was denied by the star, who claimed his heart was at Manchester City.
For what it's worth, he also sent commiserations via Twitter to Tigers' quartet Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore, Sone Aluko and Curtis Davies!Pulis' Palace eye Livemore
CRYSTAL Palace have joined the race to sign Jake Livermore.
According to the Sun, Tony Pulis is willing to shell out £5m for the highly-rated midfielder, who spent last season on loan to the Tigers.Jelavic books place in Brazil
IT'S mission accomplished for Hull City's Nikica Jelavic after booking his place in Croatia's 23-man World Cup squad.
The striker cited more first-opportunities for a prime reason for his £7.5m January move from Everton.
And that, he hoped, would showcase his talents and further his ambitions to play in Brazil.
He is joined on the plane by Southampton's highly-rated defender Dejan Lovren, the only other Premier League player to make the cut.
Jelavic was a second-half substitute in Croatia's 2-1 win over Mali yesterday.
Croatia's next game is Australia in Salvador on Friday before kicking off the World Cup against hosts Brazil in Sao Paulo on June 12.
Croatia also face Mexico and Cameroon in their group.Bradley on Blades and Birmingham radar
Sheffield United and Birmingham City are reportedly interested in former Hull City defender Sonny Bradley from League Two side Portsmouth.
Bradley, 22, currently has one year remaining on his Portsmouth deal but his fine form last season has apparently attracted potential suitors.
"We are aware that a number of clubs are interested in Sonny and are keeping tabs on his situation," a spokesman for Bradley's agents New Era Global Sports told Sky Sports.
Bradley began his career with Hull City in 2010 but after loan spells at Harrogate Town, Aldershot Town and Swedish side IK Frej the defender was released and in May 2013 he joined the Fratton Park club on a free transfer. Hockaday favourite for Leeds job
Former Hull City player David Hockaday is the bookies' favourite to succeed Brian McDermott at Leeds United.
The north-easterner spent four-and-a-years at the managerial helm at Forest Green from February 2009 to October 2013 before parting company with the west country outfit by mutual consent.
He was previously part of the Watford coaching staff under Adie Boothroyd at Vicarage Road between 2005 and 2008.
The ex-Tiger also played for Blackpool, Swindon and Shrewsbury Town before retiring in the mid-nineties.
