HULL: A serial drink-driver has been jailed.
Robertas Orlauskas was caught driving in Anlaby Road while more than twice over the legal limit.
A breath test revealed he had 74mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was stopped on December 8. The legal limit is 35mcg.
He was stopped by Humberside Police officers working on the force's Christmas campaign, which aims to catch people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Orlauskas was also caught drink-driving in 2010, when he had 110mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was given a suspended prison sentence and banned from driving.
Orlauskas, of Hawthorn Avenue, admitting drink-driving, driving while disqualified and breaching a suspended prison sentence.
District Judge Frederick Rutherford, sitting at Hull Magistrates' Court, said: "You have shown no regard for court orders and persistently drive while drunk."
He jailed Orlauskas for eight months and banned him from driving for five years.
