Police have arrested four men after an incident of doorstep crime in Gershwin Avenue, Hull.
The men, aged 21, 28, 38 and 39, are being questioned in connection with an alleged burglary at the property at around 3pm on Friday, May 9.
It is understood that the men claimed to be tradesmen who had identified 'necessary work' that needed to be carried out at the address before coercing the elderly occupiers to hand over a large amount of cash for the alleged purchase of materials.
