A BUFFET restaurant worker was attacked by a customer he confronted for stealing food.
The man was pushed and slapped by a woman who was putting food from the buffet at Wing's International Cuisine into a McDonald's bag.
When the member of staff tried to stop her from leaving the restaurant in Ferensway, city centre, she pushed him. Her partner then threatened staff before the couple left.
A CCTV image of the couple is included in the latest edition of the Mail's Caught on Camera, which includes pictures of ten people police want to trace.
Detective Constable Justin Marrow, of Hull's priority crime team, said: "The victim was asked by the manager to speak to a woman who was eating food from a McDonald's bag inside their restaurant.
"The woman was also putting food from the restaurant into the bag. The victim approached the woman and asked her to stop doing this.
"An argument then ensued, which resulted in the woman standing up, pushing the victim to his chest and then slapping him hard to the face."
The victim suffered minor injuries to his face after the assault on March 17.
Detectives are also hoping to identify two men who launched a violent assault on a man outside The Yorkshireman pub in Lombard Street, city centre.
The victim was kicked in his head several times after being pushed to the ground during a scuffle.
DC Marrow said: "The victim was outside the public house and had a verbal argument with two males.
"They grappled with him before a further two males approached the complainant.
"He fell to the ground and curled up in a ball and was kicked to the head several times. This was a nasty attack and we want to find those responsible."
The man escaped with a black eye and swelling to his cheekbone.
Officers are also appealing for Mail readers to help find a man who broke into a cash machine cabinet at Asda in Hessle Road, west Hull, and a man who sneaked into the staff room of Subway in King Edward Street, city centre, and stole a purse.
A man who stole £400 of scrap and electrical equipment from the garden of a house in Moorhouse Road, west Hull, is also pictured.
Police also want to identify a man who stole a mobile phone from SJ Supermarket in Anlaby Road, west Hull, and a man who took £40 left behind in a cash machine in Heron Foods in Newland Avenue, west Hull.
Also pictured is a man who stole a wallet from One Stop Shop in Marfleet Lane, east Hull.
Last month, 12 out of 13 suspects featured in Caught on Camera were named by Mail readers.
DC Marrow said: "We received names for almost everybody who was pictured last month, so I am hoping we will be able to have that again.
"I would ask people to take a look at the pictures and call us if they recognise anyone. Some of these pictures are really clear, so people should recognise them.
"We need the help of Mail readers to try to find out who is responsible for these crimes, which may otherwise go unsolved."
