Former Hull City favourite Dean Windass says the West Ham striker Andy Carroll can do his old club Liverpool a priceless favour on the final day of the Premier League season.

SO, the Premier League title race has gone to the final day again, with Manchester City almost having one hand on the trophy. However, I believe there could be one final twist in the tale.

I've got to be honest and say I'm gutted that Liverpool have slipped up late on, especially after the 3-3 draw at Palace in midweek. But, as they say, it's not over until the fat lady sings.

One man who could turn the title race upside down, and do the Reds a massive favour, is their former striker Andy Carroll, who is now at West Ham. He could be the key man at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow.

I'm sure a few of the Liverpool players will have rung or text Carroll this week to ask him to do a job on City.

And make no mistake, Manchester City will be nervous, especially as they are in the driving seat and only needing a draw to win the league.

To see Manuel Pellegrini's men pip Arsenal and Liverpool to the title just goes to show that the league is not won at Christmas.

The spine of their team have been so consistent throughout the season and they're coming over the finishing line with goals in their stride.

Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure have been unstoppable all season, but you could name seven or eight players who have ripped the Premier League apart. Even without Sergio Aguero for large parts of the campaign, City have enough quality to do the business.

I'd definitely say this season has been one of the best in recent memory, especially for the neutral supporters.

Both at the top and the bottom, it's been exciting. New teams have been in the cup finals, big-name clubs are being relegated, and Manchester United are not ruling the roost at the top for a change.

Myself, along with the rest of the fans, will be keeping a keen eye on the score updates tomorrow afternoon, and I hope there's a few twists and turns to come.
