Hull court listings: Find out who has been sentenced (May 7, 2014)

An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.Mark Gifford, 39, of Stroud Crescent East, Bransholme, was electronically tagged and given a 28-day curfew for assaulting David Bell on February 5. He was also ordered to pay £60 compensation, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.Kelly Hunter, 24, of Bainton Grove, west Hull, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for damaging the paintwork of a black Renault Clio belonging to Alexander Slater and causing £500 of damage to an intercom belonging to the Salvation Army. She was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.William Sullivan, 65, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for stealing various items worth £34.67 from Tesco in St Stephen's shopping centre. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.John Petherbridge, 33, of Sullivan Road, west Hull, was fined £35 for driving a car without wearing a seat-belt. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.Jennifer Watson, 67, of Mason Drive, Hook, near Goole, was fined £60 and given three points on her driving licence for exceeding the 30mph speed limit. She was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.Samuel Watson, 20, of Vermont Street, west Hull, was fined £600 and given six points on his driving licence for failing to provide police with information relating to a driver, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.Craig Dowse, 25, of Newtondale, east Hull, was fined £110 for exceeding the 70mph speed limit. He was also ordered to pay £80 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
