The RFL has confirmed it has imposed £1,000 fines on Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell and Hull FC chairman Adam Pearson for "publicly criticising the RFL disciplinary process".
Hudgell hit out after seeing Rovers prop Justin Poore handed a three-match ban for a tackle in the 16-0 win over Bradford, labelling the governing body's match review panel as 'not fit for purpose'.
As reported by the Mail last month, he has lodged an appeal over the fine.
Pearson, meanwhile, was critical of the panel following the decision to ban Hull prop Mickey Paea for two games following a tackle on Castleford's Richard Owen. Writing in his column in the match programme days later the Hull owner described the match review panel as only fit to judge BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.
Unlike Hudgell, Pearson has decided not to appeal.
In a statement, the RFL said of Hudgell's fine: "Hull Kingston Rovers chairman Neil Hudgell has been fined £1,000 for publicly criticising the RFL disciplinary process and questioning the integrity of members involved in the process.
"Mr Hudgell was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.8 (c) (Improper Conduct) by engaging in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game.
"Mr Hudgell has also been issued with a warning as to his future behaviour. Mr Hudgell has appealed the decision: a date for the Appeals Tribunal will be set shortly."
In a statement on Pearson's fine, the RFL said: "Hull FC chairman Adam Pearson has been fined £1,000 for publicly criticising the RFL Disciplinary Process and attempting to ridicule the role of a Tribunal Chairman.
"Mr Pearson was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.8 (c) (Improper Conduct) by engaging in conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game. Mr Pearson has also been issued with a warning as to his future behaviour."
