MOVE over, Harry Styles – Hull City legend Waggy and an army of backing vocalists are in fine singing voice.
Prolific former Tigers striker Ken Wagstaff – once voted the club's finest player of all time by fans – admits his singing is not quite as good as the pin-up singer from boy band One Direction.
But he showed he was game for a laugh by joining supporters for the recording of a song to boost morale ahead of the club's FA Cup final showdown.
'Wembleyphant', which is sung to the tune of 'Nellie The Elephant', was recorded at Fruit Trade Music, in Humber Street.
Mr Wagstaff, 71, said: "It's a fabulous idea recording a song and it's great fans are getting involved.
"It's the first time in this club's history, and it could be the last time, that we've got to the FA Cup final and we should be making the most of it."
Mr Wagstaff, who netted 197 goals in 434 appearances for the club from 1964 to 1976, couldn't resist getting involved when he was invited along to the recording.
Organiser Ed Faulkner, who is also lead singer of a Beautiful South tribute band, hatched the idea of recording a song after serenading 1,500 fans at Crystal Rooms, a venue off Wembley Way, on semi-final day.
"That Ed is a maniac," joked Mr Wagstaff. "At my age, my voice is not very good.
"But it's not about the singing, it's about enjoying the Wembley experience and fans love to sing on the terraces."
Hull band COAVES provided the music, while Mr Wagstaff joined Mr Faulkner and fans in belting out the lyrics.
It is hoped fans will download the song and learn the lyrics off-by-heart in time for the final against Arsenal on May 17.
Mr Faulkner said: "It brought a tear to my eye serenading 1,500 fans with Beautiful South songs on FA Cup semi-final day.
"I knew we had to record a song. We've ensured all the players names are included and we've kept the lyrics simple, so people can remember them and, hopefully, sing along at Wembley on FA Cup final day."
Mr Faulkner is no stranger to football songs, having recorded one for North Ferriby's trip to Wembley in the FA Vase Final in the 1996-97 season and in 2000 for Hull City.
He said: "The time was right to record another football song. It'll be my hat-trick.
"Hopefully, it will take off like Baddiel and Skinner's Three Lions song during Euro 96."
Mr Faulkner said he was honoured to have Mr Wagstaff onboard.
"It was really nice of him to have got involved," he said.
"He is a legend. He is one of the finest players to have played for Hull City."
As for the question on everyone's lips, Mr Wagstaff, who plans to watch the game at Wembley with Hull-born actor Sir Tom Courtenay, has the answer.
"We can win it," he said. "But we can't give Arsenal as much room to play as we did last week."
'The Wembleyphant' will be available to download for £1 on www.hullcity.bandcamp.com/track/wembleyphant from Thursday.
Proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
