A man has suffered serious injuries after he was hit by an HGV in Carnaby, near Bridlington this morning. The man, believed to be in his 60s has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, following the crash on the A614, close to Butterfly Lane.
Emergency services are at the scene. A stretch of the A614 between Carnaby and Bridlington is expected to be closed for some time.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened just after 7am this morning. Anyone with information should call them on 101, quoting log number 55.Updated 10am. More to follow.
