HULL City are casting their eye over former Arsenal striker Conor Henderson in today's reserve clash against Doncaster Rovers. A free agent after failing to agree new terms at the Gunners at the end of last season, the 22-year-old is available to sign outside of transfer window restrictions.
Having come through the Arsenal Academy, Henderson made two appearances on the subs bench at the end of the 2009-10 campaign, before making his debut in a 5-0 FA Cup win over Leyton Orient in the same season.
He was ruled out for six months with damaged knee ligaments at the start of the following season, but returned to action in March 2012. He is a Republic of Ireland under-21 international, where he has trained alongside current City midfielder Robbie Brady.
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Matthew Fletcher is also appearing in the match at the Keepmoat Stadium. The 20-year-old Australian started his professional career in England with Sunderland, before briefly moving to Oxford in 2011 and then to the Owls.
Both players scored as the Tigers finished the first-half 2-0 up at the Keepmoat. Fletcher headed home a Sam Topliss cross, before Henderson was on target with a low, curling free kick.
