A new report has revealed a panda bear was an unusual arrival at Hull docks earlier this year. The animal was notified as being on board a vessel at the port in July.
Under public health law, all animals on ships berthing in the city have to be officially notified to the Hull and Goole Port Health Authority. The authority's latest report covering a three-month period between May and July reveals there were also 637 dogs, 75 horses, four monkeys, two antelopes and a giraffe among the arrivals.
