Movie fans queued up today to meet one of the industry's most famous villains at a collectors fair in the city.
David Prowse, 78, starred in the original Star Wars films as Darth Vader.
He was in Hull making a personal appearance at the fair, held at the Prospect Shopping Centre and was joined by the puppeteer behind Jabba the Hut, Toby Philpott.
Mr Prowse said he was amazed by the reception he's receiving from fans flocking to the event today.
"I've never seen anything like it," he said. "When I got here, there was a line all the way down the stairs. It's fantastic, there is phenomenal support here."
Gerald Fox was one person in line to meet Mr Prowse as he was a fan of the Hammer House of Horror films in which the actor played numerous roles during his earlier acting career.
And Ellis Spooner, seven, said he was looking forward to meeting Darth Vader.
His mum Michelle said: "He loves the films, he has them all. He wants to meet Darth Vader."
The fair, held in various venues around the country, brings together a vast array of dealers and exhibitors who specialize in selling cult television and film memorabilia.
