Hull City have this evening confirmed the signings of Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore.
Huddlestone, 26, has agree a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £5m.
The club said he would play in the number eight shirt.
"These are obviously very exciting times for the club and for me," said Huddlestone on the club's official website.
"Hopefully, I can come here, cement my place in the starting eleven and do well for the club.
"Hopefully, I can bring a bit of experience to the side. I'm fairly comfortable on the ball and have a good passing range which is probably the strongest part of my game."
His Spurs team-mate Livermore, 23, has joined on a season-long loan.
Both players will train with City for the first time on Thursday.
The signing of Huddlestone for a club record fee represents a coup for Bruce, who fought off competition from Sunderland.
Huddlestone - who has four caps for England - has long been regarded as one of the most technically gifted of English midfielders and his passing ability and long-range shooting drew comparisons with Glenn Hoddle when he joined Tottenham in 2005.
However, his progress was hampered by injuries and he fell down the pecking order under André Villas-Boas.
Livermore, who won his single cap for England in a friendly against Italy in August 2012, will want to prove he can be a first-team regular at Premier League level after being restricted to 11 appearances last season. Known as an energetic central midfielder, he is also capable of operating in a holding role.
