The owners of an off-licence in Hull have been prosecuted for concealing illegal cigarettes at their premises.
Ari Safay was given a three-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after recently pleading guilty to possessing foreign-labelled cigarettes and tobacco at the Stotrotka shop in Beverley Road, north Hull.
His business partner Hussein Aghabaigi pleaded guilty at a previous hearing and was sentenced to a 12-month community order.
Customs and trading standards officers found the hidden stash in a specially-constructed space built into a skirting board at the shop during an inspection last November.
