HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock will have to draft in two of his under-19s side against defending champions Leeds at Headingley on Friday.

Sandercock has no other option, with only 15 fit senior players available. The Australian admits it's not ideal, but is excited about seeing how the kids get on.

"There will be one or two youngsters in my squad on Friday," Sandercock told the Mail.

"At the moment I have 15 fit players so I'll sit down and think about who to bring in from the under-19s after watching their videos.

"It's a case of seeing how I can juggle my fit players and then what positions we need to fill. I'll see who the next in line is."

Ideally, Sandercock would prefer to bring in a loan signing like earlier this season when Dale Ferguson spent month at MS3 Craven Park before returning to Huddersfield.

Ferguson's Huddersfield team-mate Luke George's loan finished prematurely when he injured his leg in the derby defeat in May.

However, Super League rules prevent sides adding to their squads with seven games remaining, which was back on July 5.

"Of course, I would have dipped into the loan market," Sandercock said.

"When you're missing 10 first-team players you have to look at the loan market. It's not spin or whinging, it's a fact. We're missing 10 regular first-teamers.

"We are missing our entire forward pack with the exception of our hookers.

"Obviously, now with so many injuries, I would like the loan deadline to be much later.

"But if we were at full strength and facing a side that wasn't, I'd say no."

LINCOLN Withers is available after his suspension, while Rhys Lovegrove will be given a fitness test tomorrow.

Graeme Horne and Cory Paterson hope to be back after the Challenge Cup final.
