ANDY Lynch will return for Hull FC against Salford on Friday as Peter Gentle insists he won't rest any players ahead of the Challenge Cup final.
And the former Hull captain could yet be joined by Richard Horne, who is hoping to hand Gentle another selection dilemma by joining in full training tomorrow.
With the Challenge Cup final against Wigan now just 11 days away, many expected Gentle to take one or two of his star names and wrap them in cotton wool ahead of their Wembley date.
Gentle could be forgiven for resting one or two players, especially in the wake of an injury to try-scoring star Tom Lineham in the derby and with his numbers rapidly depleting as his injury list grows to seven first-team players.
However, with Hull's play-off position still not guaranteed and with aspirations of clinching a top-six finish, Gentle insists the next game is the priority and that means beating Salford on Friday night at the KC Stadium.
"We are still in a position where we want to win games so we won't back off and give anyone a rest," Gentle told the Mail.
"I think that will prove more disruptive than beneficial to us going into the cup final.
"I'll pick the strongest side that is available to me and Andy Lynch will play again this week.
"It was just some wear and tear with Lynchy and he's had some maintenance done, so he'll be fine."
While Lynch is guaranteed to be back, Horne remains a doubt as he attempts to overcome a foot injury which has proven frustrating.
He was enjoying an impressive run of form until picking up the injury in the Magic Weekend win over Hull KR back in May.
Horne is hoping to have come through yesterday's tough session unscathed and a decision will be taken on his return tomorrow.
Tom Lineham (ankle) is out and still awaiting the verdict of his scans.
