TWO well known Hull tower blocks have been demolished.
The Ashthorpe and Milldane high rises in Orchard Park were brought down just after 12pm on Sunday.
Hundreds of people gathered to watch the explosions.
Dawn Norris, 43, of Cladshaw, said: "I felt quite emotional watching it, it brought a tear to my eye.
"Those flats have been there all my life and now they are gone."
The demolitions were carried out as part of plans to regenerate the estate.
Ward councillor Terry Geraghty said: "This will bring a new beginning for Orchard Park."
