HOUSE prices near the KC Stadium are hitting fever pitch following Hull City's move to the ground.
The area around the home of the Tigers has seen a 162-per-cent increase in house prices in the last 10 years – the second highest out of the 20 Premier League clubs.
According to the figures by Halifax, the average house prices around the KC Stadium have risen from an average of £28,781 in 2003 to £75,517 in 2013. The club moved to the ground in 2002.
A Halifax spokesman said several of the areas which saw the biggest increases were those where relatively new grounds had been built.
Craig McKinlay, mortgage director at Halifax, said: "The boost to property prices in these areas partly reflects the local regeneration that typically takes place alongside the building of modern sporting arenas, including improved transport links."
The findings are based on Land Registry and official earnings figures.
Manchester City topped the table with an increase from £24,894 in 2003, to £89,489 in 2013.
