Dale Partington was found stabbed to death on Sunday morning.
A post mortem found the wound had severed an artery and the former Goole College student had bled to death.
He was found in the passageway, yards from his front door.
His family had last seen him before he set off for a night out with friends on Saturday night.
Mr Partington, who worked locally as a bricklayer after securing an apprenticeship through Goole College, lived all his life in Snaith.
Leon Rushworth, 37, entered no plea at Beverley Magistrates' Court yesterday. He was remanded in custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday.
A man, 25, and a woman, 46, have also been arrested on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice.
