EAST YORKS: Beverley Musical Theatre are appealing for a pianist to help out with their annual pantomime.
Aladdin will run from November 27 to December 1.
The group is renowned for producing excellent entertainment for children and adults.
It already has the cast, the venue and the costumes ready.
The pianist, though, has left to go to university, so the group need a new one for rehearsals starting on September 4.
Anyone who is interested will need to be available on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at Beverley Masonic Hall in Trinity Lane.
Organisers say it will suit anyone who has a love of playing the piano at a good standard and wants either experience, practice or just to be part of a group.
Anyone interested can email Alison White at dolaliali@hotmail.com or call 07805 535981.
EAST YORKS: Driffield Steam and Vintage Rally is set to be the best yet for steam-powered cars.
The family event at the town's showground on August 10 and 11 will include cars made by Doble, White and nine different types of Stanley steamers.
The most unusual of these cars is the sole surviving Doble D2, the oldest Doble in existence. It was built by Abner Doble in 1921 and is now owned by Barry Herbert of Little Weighton.
Last year, record turnout raised £10,200 for good causes. Visit www.driffield.co.uk for more information about the upcoming weekend.
WILLERBY: A charity barbecue and race night is being held at Willerby Manor Hotel.
The event is taking place to raise funds for Age UK Hull, which provides services and support to older people.
It will be held on Friday at 7pm and tickets cost £20 each.
Tickets are available from Age UK Hull in Porter Street, Hull.
