Bogus wheelie bin cleaners are targeting householders in north Hull, police have warned.
Officers say the four fraudsters are charging £2.50 to clean people's bins, but are not carrying out the work.
They targeted addresses in Dingley Close, 21st Avenue and 29th Avenue on July 9 and July 16.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said a legitimate company works in the area, but the bogus callers are not connected to it.
The group are described as being in their 40s, with one "large male" who collects the money, and are using an old white Transit van.
Anyone with information should call Humberside Police on 101.
