Hull City boss Steve Bruce will not rest on his laurels in the search for new attacking blood after signing Danny Graham on a season-long loan from Sunderland.
Bruce admits he could be close to signing a second striker.
The Mail understands that player is Evian's Yannick Sagbo and dialogue between the clubs has taken place in the last 24 hours. City hope a bid of £1.6m will be enough to seal the 25-year-old's signature.
Sagbo was a target of West Ham last summer and has been watched by Celtic in recent months.
Bruce declined to discuss individual targets but revealed a second new arrival could be imminent.
"I've said all along that I want a couple and now we've got one in the bag, let's hope we can get another one," he said.
"We're moving closer to one but you never quite know until it's done. We've identified a player we like and we'll just see if we can get it over the line."
